YouTube suggests what keeps people watching. This list starts somewhere else: the videos that many different people on Hacker News, a large forum for engineers and founders, keep recommending to each other in comments, sometimes for fifteen years. I kept the ones a trainer could use: how people learn, explaining things well, running a room, coaching, feedback, managing people, careers, and plain explainers of how AI works. Each one has a line on how you might use it in a session.
- Ranked by how many different people recommended it
- Each picture is a frame from the middle of the video
- Your watched list stays in this browser
- Watch before you show: these are other people's videos
How this list was made
The idea comes from HackerTube, which built a YouTube front page from 20 years of Hacker News comments. This is a smaller version, cut down to topics for trainers.
These are other people's videos on YouTube. Check a video before showing it in class, and show it from YouTube (or Insert → Video → Online Video in PowerPoint). Don't download or re-upload it.
