Why the numbers differ
- NEA reports the raw 1-hour PM2.5 concentration in µg/m³ with four bands (Normal/Elevated/High/Very High).
- aqicn.org takes NEA's latest 1-hour reading and converts it to the US AQI (0–500) using the older US EPA scale. This page does the same, so its US AQI matches aqicn. The number and category names differ from NEA's bands.
- Both describe the same air; use NEA's bands for official Singapore advisories and the US AQI to compare with other countries or apps.
